Welcome to AllPlay
AllPlay Complex is the finest barrier free sports and recreation complex in the nation. The $1.5 million dollar complex is located in Seymour Smith Park located at 6802 Harrison Street, Omaha, NE 68128. The entire complex utilizes barrier free design concepts that allow people who have mobility impairments and other disabilities to fully enjoy sports and recreation. The complex is open to the public and free to use during Seymour Smith's park hours (5am - 11pm) daily, but certain features of the complex may be closed when reserved for programs, activities, and events for organizations that provide services for persons with disabilities.
The Complex and all of its features are open and available for use by the public during park hours (5am to 11pm), but the fields and shade pavilion may be reserved by organizations providing services for persons with disabilities.
ALLPLAY Miracle League Baseball Field
The ALLPLAY Miracle League baseball field was specially built with a rubber-coated playing surface meant to soften accidental falls and prevent injuries. This $125,000 rubber surface is a unique feature to Miracle League fields across the country. This field is the home of the ALLPLAY Miracle League and hosts games for Challenger Little League Baseball.
Other field features and uses include:
- Different colors of rubber makes the field look like it's covered with grass and dirt!
- The bases and other markings were painted on the field, and the pitchers area was not raised.
- The field measures 110 feet down right and left field lines and 125 feet to center field.
- The field features wide access gates and expansive shadded player benches (30 feet by 15 feet) areas allowing players, coaches and staff plenty of room and shade during games.
- Water drains rapidly from the field allowing games virtually eliminating game cancellations due to rain.
- An electronic scoreboard with wireless controls.
- A public address (PA) system.
- Alternative uses of this field by the general public may include: youth baseball, youth soccer, kick ball, and wiffle ball.
Nebraska Barons Wheelchair Softball Field
The Nebraska Barons Wheelchair Softball field features an especially hardened asphalt surface allowing wheelchair athletes to compete at maximum speed and performance. The asphalt is coated with an painted "tennis court" surface which improves durability and player performance. The field is the home to the Nebraska Barons wheelchair softball team (adult) the thirteen time national champions (2003, '04, '07, '08, '09, '10, '12, '13, '15. '16, '17, '18, '21) , and to the 2008, '09, '10, '11 national champion Junior Nebraska Barons.
Other field features and uses include:
- Different colors of acrylic "tennis court" paint make the field appear as if it's covered with grass and dirt!
- The bases and other markings painted on the field and the pitchers area was not raised.
- The field measures 155 feet down right and left field lines and 200 feet to center field.
- The field features wide access gates and expansive shadded player benches (30 feet by 15 feet) areas allowing players, coaches and staff plenty of shadded room during games.
- An electronic scoreboard with wireless controls.
- A public address (PA) system.
- Water drains rapidly from the field allowing games virtually eliminating game cancellations due to rain.
- Alternative uses of this field for disabled athletics include: quadriplegic rugby, power chair soccer, wheelchair basketball, and wheelchair football.
- Alternative uses of this field by the general public may include: youth baseball, youth soccer, kick ball, and wiffle ball.
ALLPLAY's Water Park
ALLPLAY's water park is a barrier-free
water park that will allow anyone to cool
off from the summer's heat. This
$300,000 feature is also known by some
people as a "Splash Pad". This water
park is built without any curbs or steps
which will allow easy access for all. The
water park uses a continual flow of
fresh water and includes many different
features that spray, drop, shoot,
sprinkle, and mist water.
The water park is free for use by the public. It will open each year on Memorial Day and close on Labor Day, and be available for use from 10 am to 8 pm each day. The water park is not available when the temperature falls below 70 degrees or when it is raining.
ALLPLAY's Playground
ALLPLAY's playground is Omaha's largest with barrier-free access and the only playground in Seymour Smith Park. This $175,000 playground has been uniquely designed with a ramp system that allows children to access all features. A rubber surface has been used to allow access on the ground to all areas of the playground and helps soften accidental falls. The playground is the most popular and heavily used feature of ALLPLAY Complex.

- The playground's highest plat-
form is 5 feet, with two plat-
forms at 4 feet, two platforms
at 3 feet, and one platform at 2 feet.
- The platforms are covered to provide shade, and big enough for two wheelchairs.
- There are two different entry ramps. One from ground level and one from the Miracle Field which leads to one of the four foot high platforms.
- The playground was manufactured by Miracle Playgrounds and uses attractive blue, red, yellow, and green colors.
- The two color rubber surface is manufactured from recycled tires, and is over 5 inches thick with a "honey comb" backing which allows the tiles to give when a child falls from a playground feature.
ALLPLAY Welcome Center & Shade Pavillion
The ALLPLAY Welcome Center serve as the center for activities
and events occurring on the complex. This structure includes a
concessionary, storage area, three family style restrooms, a
drinking fountain, and a shade area with picnic tables, and is
connected to a 2,400 sq.ft. shade pavillion. The welcome center
and restrooms are only open for officially registered and
private reservations.

for 1.8 miles to Drexel Street.

About Seymour Smith Park

Facilities: ALLPLAY Complex, four softball fields, one baseball field, three soccer fields, eight horseshoe pits, a disc golf course and four tennis courts make this park a great location to get competitive. Trails, restrooms and open spaces are other amenities located at Seymour Smith. Some special amenities of Seymour Smith include a soap box derby track, a trap and skeet shooting range, and The Orbiting Eagles wire controlled airplane field.
History: Seymour Smith is a relatively new park. The park, developed during the 1960’s has primarily served as a home for active use recreation pursuits. Various facilities within the park, including a Frisbee golf course, a trap and skeet range, four softball fields, tennis courts, a boy scout soap box derby track, soccer fields, and competition quality baseball field. A portion of the Big Papio Trail system also runs through this park.
